During interview day, applicants and guests will meet current students, faculty, and staff, learn more about the program, and also tour the campus. For the interview itself, the UAMS COP uses the Multi Mini Interview (MMI) process to evaluate sociobehavioral skills critical to pharmacy practice. The MMI is a standardized, unbiased interview process where applicants are presented with case scenarios. Then, applicants discuss what they think about these cases or how they would behave in these scenarios. For more information, see our YouTube video at https://youtu.be/GYY-KzKAquo. '

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Pharmacy's (UAMS COP) mission is to improve the health of culturally diverse populations by educating pharmacy leaders to address community health needs, advancing scientific discovery to produce innovations in health care, and fostering progressive pharmacy practice through service to the profession. UAMS is an academic health sciences center with 7 institutes, 6 colleges, and a satellite campus in Fayetteville in Northwest Arkansas.

UAMS College of Pharmacy is one of only 6 schools in the country offering the Nuclear Pharmacy Specialty Track. Students who elect this track and take nuclear electives in the P3 year will not pay any additional fee. This is a savings of approximately $8,000, the cost of the program for healthcare professionals. Graduates with 2000 hours of practical experience will be eligible to take the Nuclear Pharmacy Specialty Examination given by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.

Our 14 student organizations lead in the planning and production of community health screenings, guest lectures, cultural events, social events, conferences, and more. Our students are exceptional leaders as evidenced by their six wins as the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) National Chapter of the Year. Our students are six-time winners of the National Community Pharmacists Association's Good Neighbor Pharmacy Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition.
