The Colleges of Pharmacy, Business and Health at Idaho State University offer joint PharmD/MBA and PharmD/MPH programs for interested students. Students complete the traditional PharmD and MBA or MPH degree programs with some courses from the MBA or MPH programs cross counting towards PharmD degree requirements. Plans of study will differ from student to student; however, it is possible for students to complete the MBA or MPH degree by the time they complete their PharmD degree.

The Anchorage, Alaska site is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. Anchorage has towering mountains, sparkling glaciers and amazing wildlife. From the serene waters of Cook Inlet to the exceptional natural wonders Anchorage encompasses incredible adventures and metropolitan appeals that are larger than life.

The Pocatello, Idaho site is on the ISU campus, located in southeast Idaho. It is centrally located between Salt Lake City, Utah, and the popular vacation destinations of Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, Wyoming. If you wish to be one of our students, you must complete all pre-pharmacy requirements, except for biochemistry, by the end of the spring term of the year you apply. Biochemistry may be completed in the early summer session prior to beginning the PharmD curriculum.

In addition to the prepharmacy prerequisites, Idaho State University requires students who DO NOT possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution to meet/complete Idaho State University's General Education Objectives. We encourage completion of an Associate of Arts or Science OR a Bachelor prior to matriculation. Transferring without a previous degree may result in the need to complete deficient ISU General Education requirements during PharmD studies. If invited to interview, candidates are interviewed remotely via Zoom. PharmD admissions interviews provide an opportunity for the candidate to learn more about ISU's L.S. College of Pharmacy and for the College to assess the candidate's motivation to complete a PharmD degree, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking abilities. The interview consists of interviews with current faculty, current PharmD students and with the Admissions and Administrative staff of the College.
